Course description: Introduction to developmental psychology; development, health and disease; methods for studying the psychological development of a person; developmental theories; specific characteristics of particular developmental period - the genetic basis of development; prenatal development; prenatal environment; development in the first year of life - the adaptation of the newborn child's growth and development, motor control and perception, cognitive development, personality development and social development; early childhood development - physical and motor, cognitive, social and personality development; development in middle childhood - physical and motor, cognitive, social and personality development; development in adolescence - the relationship between physical and mental development, development of sexual characteristics, motor, cognitive and social development, personality development, problems of adolescence; development in young adulthood - physical, cognitive and social development, family, profession and professional development; development in middle adulthood - physical, cognitive and social development and personal growth, mid-life crisis, family and professional changes; development in old age - aging and elderly people, theories of aging, changes in ability, personality and aging, social relations, family, mental health, death and dying, models of social and health care for the elderly.
