Lecturers:
Course description: Course? Health behavior and health communication? includes the following three content areas:
(1) Health behavior (basic medical psychology and sociology of health behavior, the factors that influence behavior, models of health behavior, the role of health professionals in forming and changing health behavior of individuals, groups and communities),
(2) Health education and health promotion (the difference between health information, health education, health education and health promotion, the basics of a healthy work methodology. Upbringing with individuals, groups and communities, evaluation of work) and
(3) The definition of communication, forms of verbal and nonverbal communication, preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic role of communication with the patient and his family, the principles of effective communication, the role of compassion and empathy in communication with patients, principles of individual and group communication, causes too weak communication nurses and patients, the impact of communication on adherence to medical advice and guidance, the possibilities of improving communication, ways of overcoming communication barriers, communication with patients in certain mental states (depressed patients, anxious patients, health-patient, aggressive patient, a patient who suffers from severe pain, the patient with suicidal tendencies dying patient) ways to communicate bad news, the manner of conducting psychological preparation to invasive and surgical procedures, communication with families of patients in situations of acute injury or serious chronic illness, communication with the families of the deceased patient communication in education and health education, public communication.
