Course description: Health promotion uses theories and methods from psychology, sociology, anthropology, epidemiology, and other disciplines that together contribute to the qualitative understanding of the ways in which the health of the population can be maintained and improved. Special importance of health promotion is a multisectoral, which means that they are successfully working on health promotion must cooperate with other sectors. For instance, increasing taxes on tobacco, ie fiscal policy, effectively reducing the prevalence of smoking, especially among young people, from a classical health education. The course provides insight into basic theoretical approaches to health promotion and practical skills that are needed for development, implementation and evaluation of such programs. Will be shown that the differences between the population and targeted approaches to health promotion and why community development is important for health promotion.
