Course description: Lectures: Characterization of matter. Physical and chemical changes, substance types, atomic substances and radioactivity. Principles of classification of chemical elements, chemical bonds. Grain and properties of chemical compounds. Chemical laws, most important inorganic chemical reactions, properties of biogenic elements. Aggregate states. Two-component systems of acid and base. Amphoteric electrolytes. Buffers. Photochemical reactions. Radiation reactions. Chemical reaction kinetics: conditions for chemical reaction, chemical reaction rates, homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions, order and molecular reaction, collision theory, energy and entropy of activation. Catalysts, homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, inhibitors and promoters. Biocatalysts, structural enzymes, kinetics and mechanism of enzymatic reactions, structure and properties of bioactive organic micro and macromolecular compounds. Structural and constitutive isomers, functional groups and types of organic compounds, hybridization, resonance theory and MO theory, nucleophilic substitution and addition, electrophilic substitution, polymerization. Structure, physico-chemical characterization and biochemical significance, acyclic and cyclic compounds. Structure, physico-chemical characterization and biochemical significance of heterocyclic compounds with nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur. Carbohydrates, Classification, Nomenclature, Stereochemistry, Properties and Reactions, Monosaccharides, Oligosaccharides, Polysaccharides, Derived Monosaccharides. Simple and complex lipids. Peptides and proteins are simple and complex. Nucleic Acids, Structure and Nomenclature of Mononucleotides. Vitamins, hormones and alkaloids. Colors. Boom the toxins.
