Course description: The definition of health psychology, possible application of psychological knowledge and skills in preservation of health,
diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of diseases, the role of health psychology in increasing the effectiveness of
health care practices and health savings funds, contemporary biosociopsihološki complete access to health care, forms
of health behavior and health counseling, psychological impact of the condition on the occurrence of physical illness,
psychological stress and disease, basic concepts of psychoneuroimmunology, ways to combat the effects of stress on health,
psychological reactions to physical illness, problems of psychological adjustment to stay in the hospital, ways
of reducing fear and anxiety over the disease, psychological reactions to severe injuries, Psychological problems of
disabled people and ways to adapt to disability, psychological mechanisms of pain, psychological factors that affect
pain, psychological methods of pain therapy, psychological problems dying patients.
