Course description: The subject will encompass the underlying insights that enable understanding of the immune system in health and illness, particularly
understanding the complex interactions of the immune system. It will provide an overview of the development of immune cells,
tissues and organs, and the expression of molecules "molecules" (PRR) and specific receptors for T lymphocyte (TCR) and lymphocyte
B (BCR) receptors. The principles of innate and acquired immunity, recognition and expression of antigen in the context of
the main histocompatibility complex (MHC) gene and the activation of the effector functions of the immune response will be
explained. The regulation of immune response, immune tolerance and autoimmunity, and diseases in which immune mechanisms play
a significant role such as hypersensitivity, autoinflammatory and autoimmune diseases, tumors, and immunodeficiency will be
treated. A critical review of fundamental immune methods will be provided.
