Course description: Definition and epidemiology and basic concepts in epidemiology. Models of disease. Breakdown
epidemiology. The causes
of the disease? risk factors. The emergence and spread of the disease. The natural course
disease. Epidemiological methods:
variables, research, measurement. Disease prevention:
primary, secondary and tertiary. Prevention of infectious diseases:
general and specific measures,
vaccination. Prevention of chronic diseases: general and specific measures, identification
risk factors, screening.
Epidemiological features of cardiovascular diseases, malignant diseases, accidents, addiction
and diabetes, iatrogenic disease. Epidemiological features of the disease: intestinal infectious and
parasitic diseases,
nipple infections, diseases against which carried mandatory immunization,
diseases that are transmitted through sexual
contact and zoonoses. Nosocomial infections.
