Course description: Through the teaching of this course, students will acquire basic knowledge and skills about the concept of quality in health
care. The processes of quality development in the world and in the Republic of Croatia will be explained, the importance of
measuring quality especially in health care using models, the most famous of which is Donabedian's model (structure, process,
outcome). Special attention will be paid to adverse events in health care, conducting internal assessment, application of
quality standards, and ways of compliance through certification and accreditation.
